With the GreenPlus sustainability grant, you can make your business a greener one by developing an environmental policy that is in line with international standards. This helps businesses to play their part in creating a sustainable future.
Businesses with existing sustainability initiatives looking to further invest in sustainable business models, products and services, and train staff to improve environmental performance within their organisation.
You may be eligible if:
- You are an existing Enterprise Ireland (EI) client
- You are a potential EI client operating a small to medium business

Business Energy Upgrade Grant - Rapid Approval
This scheme provides substantial support to the SME sector to address energy costs and reduce emissions in their buildings, making them healthier, more comfortable and cheaper to run.
You may be eligible if:
- You are a small/medium sized business looking to carry out energy efficiency upgrades.
- Open to all business types.
Flexible lending to support the green and sustainable transition of SMEs
Green Transition Finance
Loans ranging from €500,000 to €5 million are accessible to businesses engaged in sustainable practices or seeking to invest in green and sustainable assets. These loans are at competitive interest rates, making them an appealing financial choice, with flexible repayment terms customised to the loan's intended use.
You may be eligible if:
- You are based in an EU member state and conducting business in the Republic of Ireland
- You must also fulfil the eligibility criteria for the InvestEU SME and Small Mid-Cap Sustainability Guarantee Product
- Eligibility is contingent upon the terms and conditions
Increase sales and employment with research and development
Research, Development & Innovation Fund
This fund provides financial support to invest in research, development and innovation. The aim is to develop new products, services, and processes to make the business more competitive.
Businesses that are involved in experimental, non-routine Research and Development projects in areas such as advanced manufacturing, digital technologies, sustainable technologies, healthcare and life sciences, food and beverage.
You may be eligible if:
- You are an Enterprise Ireland, Local Enterprise Office or Údarás na Gaeltacht client or potential client
- You have adequate cash resources to implement the proposed project

Energy Efficiency Grant
Businesses are encouraged to invest in sustainable products and services to reduce their carbon footprint and play their part in a greener future. With this support, you can introduce new measures to become a more energy-efficient business.
Businesses that want to invest in new energy-efficient technology to reduce environmental impact.
You might be eligible if:
- You are a small to medium business
- You employ up to 50 people
- You have been operating for at least 6 months
- You have generated revenues of at least €30k
- You have undertaken the Green for Business programme
- You have had a recent energy audit by a SEAI auditor
