Bezel Set Gemstone Ring Workshop

Make your own sterling silver ring with a bezel-set gemstone.

Perfect for beginners, this course covers all the essentials: forming, soldering and texturing a silver ring band, creating a bezel setting, and securely setting your stone.

Who is it for?

  • This workshop is perfect for anyone curious about jewellery making – whether you’re a complete beginner, a creative hobbyist, or simply looking for a fun, hands-on experience. No prior experience is needed; just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. If you’re interested in progressing further, this course also provides a solid introduction to gemstone setting techniques and is the perfect first step toward our more advanced flush, star, and channel setting courses.

What do you get?

  • Learn essential jewellery techniques: forming, soldering, texturing, and setting.
  • Beginner-friendly and supportive — no prior experience required.
  • Gain a strong foundation for more advanced stone-setting workshops.
  • Taught by award-winning jeweller and experienced educator Eimear Vize.

What can it be used for?

  • Along the way, you’ll pick up key jewellery-making techniques in a relaxed, supportive studio environment. By the end, you’ll leave with a beautifully finished, one-of-a-kind ring, and the confidence to keep creating.
  • It’s also an ideal foundation in gemstone setting, providing the skills and confidence to progress to our flush & star setting course on 20/21 August, which in turn sets you up perfectly for the more advanced channel setting course (22/23 August).
