Reasonable Accommodation Fund

Financial support to help make workplaces more accessible

The Reasonable Accommodation Fund (RAF) offers financial support to employers aiming to improve workplace accessibility and promote employment opportunities for those with disabilities.

Who is it for?

Businesses that are making their workplaces more accessible for people with disabilities. 

You might be eligible if:

  • You are a private-sector business in Ireland
  • You have offered employment to a person with a disability and they will require workplace adaptations to undertake duties 
  • You have an employee who developed a disability or their condition worsened while working for you and they require workplace adaptations to retain your employment 
  • You have an employee who developed an illness, condition or impairment (occupational or otherwise) that affects their ability to carry out their job

Eligibility is subject to terms and conditions.


What do you get?

  • Workplace Equipment/Adaptation Grant to cover the cost of modifying workplaces or purchasing specialised equipment to make them accessible for employees with disabilities.
  • Employee Retention Grant for financial support to employers to help cover the cost of retaining employees with disabilities who may need additional support due to their disability.

What can it be used for?

Helping businesses to take measures to help a person with a disability to access, improve or retain their employment.
