Funding for the Irish Seafood Processing Industry

The European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021-2027 is the primary funding programme for the seafood sector. It is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the EU

Who is it for?

You may be eligible if:

  • You are an applicant who is both an onshore processing SME and have an SFPA approval number with activity code FFPP (Fresh Fishing Products Plant) or PP (Processing Plant)  

Eligibility is subject to terms and conditions.  
 


What do you get?

Funding for the Seafood Processing Capital Investment Scheme  


What can it be used for?

  • The scheme supports the development of the processing sector by adding value to, and fully utilising raw material.  

  • It also supports the development of operational optimisation in the seafodd processing sector and looks to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions
