This scheme promotes the use of renewable sources for heating to reduce Ireland’s reliance on fossil fuels for a more energy-independent future.

For businesses that want to replace existing fossil fuel heating systems with renewable alternatives.

You might be eligible if:

You are a business of any size, including agricultural, public sector bodies and non-profit organisations
You comply with the specific requirements and regulations outlined by the SEAI

Eligibility is subject to terms and conditions.

Two types of support are offered:

For biomass and biogas boilers: tariff-based payments for 15 years to bridge the gap between the cost of renewable heating and conventional fossil fuels
For commercial heat pumps: a one-off grant of up to 30% to cover some of the installation cost

Offsetting the operational costs of biomass and biogas heating systems, making them more affordable
Reducing the initial investment cost of installing commercial heat pumps
The generated heat must be used for space heating or specific industrial processes
