Shared Island Sustainability Capital Grant could help you fund your capital project that will boost your green credentials

Are you planning a capital project to enhance your green credentials? The Shared Island Sustainability Capital Grant can help fund your initiative.

Part of the €30m Shared Island Enterprise Scheme by InterTradeIreland, Invest Northern Ireland, and Enterprise Ireland, this €20m grant offers €10m in each region to help businesses in Northern Ireland and Ireland decarbonise their sites with innovative solutions.

Applications are open until Friday, 2 May at 12:00 noon, but may close early if oversubscribed.

Who is it for?

  • The Shared Island Sustainability Capital Grant is only available to Invest Northern Ireland clients

    Eligible business in the process of:

  • potentially creating significant value for the company or industry.
  • addressing sustainability challenges and delivering an environmental improvement to a manufacturing or industrial site.
  • having a minimum capital project spend of €6m and have all project expenditure incurred by 31 December 2027.
  • outlining that the project will benefit the all-island economy on a demonstrative and commercial basis.

What do you get?

  • Funding to help businesses from both Northern Ireland and Ireland decarbonise their sites using novel and innovative solutions

What can it be used for?

You can apply for funding for projects such as:

  • Heat electrification and thermal storage
  • Green gases (hydrogen)
  • Onsite renewable energy generation
  • Sustainable water
  • Carbon capture
  • Circular economy (generating resources from your own business's by-products)
