Enterprise Ireland’s Commercialisation Fund supports third-level researchers to translate their research into innovative and commercially viable products, services and companies.

Who is it for?

All Commercialisation Fund grants and awards are available to third-level researchers based in Ireland.

What do you get?

The Commercialisation Fund Feasibility Grant provides researchers with €15,000 in funding to help validate the potential market opportunity before development.
Proof of Concept Funding provides an intermediate level (up to €100,000) of funding to demonstrate proof of concept.
The Commercialisation Fund Award provides access to a range of funding and supports to develop research to a commercially viable entity.

What can it be used for?

Funding under the Commercialisation Fund Feasibility Grant can be used for an independent industry expert consultant to conduct a market opportunity assessment and explore potential routes to commercialisation for their technology.
The Commercialisation Fund Award provides significant funding and supports to help researchers develop, build and validate their technology both technically and commercially using a tailored development plan.
Proof of Concept Funding can be used to de-risk technology and prove concept of commercial need.
