Fisheries Funding

The European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021-2027 is the primary funding programme for the seafood sector. It is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the EU

Who is it for?

You may be eligible if:

  •  You are a small-scale coastal fishery and operating vessels up to 24 meters as well as promoting aquaculture. 

Eligibility is subject to terms and conditions.

What do you get?

  • EMFAF will fund the management of fisheries, aquaculture and fishing fleets, and cover measures such as scientific advice, controls and checks, market intelligence, maritime surveillance and security.  

What can it be used for?

  • Funding for a number of fishery schemes under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021-2027
