Market Research Grant

The Market Research Grant is a support for companies to undertake market research to address knowledge gaps about a market and the trading conditions that apply.

Of particular importance currently the urgent need for companies to research the impact of tariffs and other trade measures on their business. This insight is crucial for optimising pricing strategies, supply chains, and avoiding unexpected costs, thereby enhancing competitiveness in international markets.
 

Who is it for?

You may be eligible if:

  • You are an Enterprise Ireland client.
  • Companies impacted by the effects of Tariff disruption in markets.
  • Companies looking to scope new markets opportunity and/or address knowledge gaps on existing or new markets.

What do you get?

  • 50% of the eligible project costs up to a maximum of €70,000 (€35,000 grant).
  • Support may be approved against eligible expenditure across a range of categories including consultancy, overseas travel & subsistence, consultancy, trade fairs entrance fee (not exhibitor fees) and  reports cost of purchase of market research reports.

What can it be used for?

Support for Companies impacted by the effects of Tariff disruption in markets to:

  • Assess and quantify tariff impact on the business.
  • Access specialist advice to devise optimal mitigation strategies knowledge gaps.
  • Assess Supply Chain vulnerabilities and strategies.  
  • Engage with customers and scope further potential in changing markets.
  • Assess pricing strategies as part of mitigation planning.
     

Support for companies to scope new markets opportunity:

  • Research market potential to assess barriers to entry.
  • Assess and size addressable market.
  • Review of market regulations/legislation/customs requirements.
  • Comparative pricing research, and modelling.
  • Review of competitor landscape.
  • Review of supplier landscape.
  • Research interviews/meetings with relevant companies.
  • Competitor product/service and route to market analysis.
