Get funding to start your business

The early stages are the hardest for small businesses. This support reduces the financial burden of starting a business to increase your chances of growth and success.

Who is it for?

For businesses that need assistance with the initial costs of starting a business.

You might be eligible if: 

  • You employ up to 10 people
  • You have been operating for up to 18 months 

Eligibility is subject to terms and conditions.


What do you get?

  • Up to 50% of project costs, with the maximum grant amount dependent on the LEO office and region
  • This is not a cash grant – after your project is completed and approved, eligible expenses will be refunded 

What can it be used for?

  • To cover the essential costs of operating a new business, including equipment and machinery, salary costs, consultancy and marketing costs
  • To pay for marketing activities needed to attract customers and establish your brand, i.e. website development
  • To cover some operational costs like utility connection fees
