Employers and employees looking to access bite-sized, accredited upskilling programmes to develop lean business practices. Lean practices help you create value with fewer resources and less waste.

  • You are a small, medium or large enterprise
  • You are in employment

What do you get?

Lean Practice for Sustainable Business consists of two FET micro-qualifications which can be undertaken together as part of an overall Special Purpose Award or as independent awards: 

  • Lean Principles for Sustainable Business
  • Lean Tools for Sustainable Business

As with all FET micro-qualifications, you benefit from:

  • Targeted upskilling designed collaboratively between SOLAS, ETBs, and enterprise and industry partners
  • Bite-sized training, completed in approximately 50 hours
  • Local training delivered via the 16 Education and Training Boards (ETBs) nationwide
  • Flexible programme delivery - available in person, online or via blended formats
  • Flexible course schedule, designed to fit the operating needs of the business
  • Fully accredited skills (NFQ level 5)
  • Highly subsidised training, offered at little or no cost
